Video continues speech from part 1 with Truman Selle. He says most colleges and universities' Board of Trustees are made up of related parties to the institution, but Gallaudet's Board of Trustees is made up of mostly members from outside the community. He calls for the removal of Jane Spilman due to her lack of respect for the deaf students and faculty of Gallaudet. He alludes to former president Jerry Lee leaving Gallaudet for Bassett Furniture, which Spilman owns. Someone then introduces Gary Olsen of the National Association of the Deaf. An interpreter blocks him for part of his speech. He says deaf people want to control their own destiny. He praises the University and says the protesters will win. Jeff Rosen is introduced as the next speaker to give a summary of the press conference from earlier that day. He says it is a proud day in deaf history. At the press conference people asked Jane Spilman what's next, and she refused to give a direct answer. Mike O'Donnell is introduced as the next speaker to give instructions on what to do next. He says the most important part of their effort has been communication with congresspeople. He gives instructions on how they can meet their legislators to inform them about the protests and to garner their support. Paul Singleton reminds the protesters that as voters and citizens of the United States, they have the right to let their congresspeople know how they feel. Mary Lou Novitsky ends the video discussing the rally to the Capitol. She states that students have split into groups according to state to meet with their legislators.
