Video shows Jane Spilman, Dr. Zinser, Kenneth Parkinson (moderator), Frank Sullivan, and Dr. Ingold hosting a press conference. Parkinson states that Dr. Zinser resigned the night before. Dr. Zinser says she sees that the Deaf President Now protests show a deep commitment to the historical goals of deaf leadership. She knows her values and skills are suited for Gallaudet, but she knows a deaf president will have a different vision for the university and the deaf community as a whole. Spilman also makes a statement that the Board accepts Dr. Zinser's resignation. She shows support for Dr. Zinser and says the Board is concerned about governance at Gallaudet University. She says they will reconvene to select the new president. Mr. Sullivan comes to the stage to make a statement. He notes that a statement was issued yesterday reaffirming the deaf members of the Board of Trustees' faith in a deaf leader for Gallaudet University. He asks that the students stop disrupting campus and to have faith in the deaf members of the Board of Trustees. Spilman and Dr. Zinser answer a variety of questions from the audience.
