Comments
The press conference from previous videos continues. Jane Spilman makes a concluding statement of support for Dr. Zinser. Dr. I. King Jordan gets called to the stage. He states his support of the selection of Dr. Zinser. The question and answer section begins again. Dr. Zinser acknowledges that it is important to have deaf people in leadership positions and states she will support elevating more deaf people to leadership positions. Someone questions how long will she allow the campus to be disrupted. Spilman addresses a question regarding the two demands related to the Board of Trustees. She refuses to resign as chair unless asked. She also notes that the Board is planning to expand and include other deaf people on the Board. Someone asks if Spilman and Dr. Zinser had a friendship before her candidacy to the presidency.
