The Deaf African American Vertical Files is a collection of research materials collected over several decades that focus specifically on the history of Black Deaf individuals and organizations of significance to the Black Deaf community.
As with all vertical files, the content of this collection was created by collecting materials from publicly-available sources of information ranging from newspaper articles to donated documentary evidence.
