Buff and Blue
Established in 1892, The Buff & Blue is the main student-run publication of Gallaudet University. Originally a showcase for the writing talents of Gallaudet students--encompassing short stories and poetry--The Buff & Blue evolved into a newspaper reporting on student events and providing a venue for students to comment on campus life and express their viewpoints on world events at large.
After its transition to a traditional student newspaper, The Buff & Blue also produced literary issues that continued to showcase student writing of various genres, as well as the "Senior Number," which worked as the student yearbook until Tower Clock's establishment in 1941.
In recent decades, The Buff & Blue transitioned to a predominantly digital format, first as a blog, then as a combined platform with BisonTV and Tower Clock under the aegis of Buff & Blue Media.
